Virtua collects information from our users when they create their account for this Site, when they request copies of publications, seek additional information regarding our services or employment opportunities, or register for conferences and other Virtua-sponsored events. Some of our Site’s registration, enrollment, account setup and other forms may ask users to give us contact information, unique personal identifiers, financial information, information about users’ children such as their age, grade and/or first and last name, subject areas of interest and/or demographic information. We may use this data to tailor the user’s experience on our Site. We may collect the email address of Users and the those of subscribers for whom Users purchase subscriptions. We will use those email addresses primarily for identifying and authenticating our Users. We collect the student information, name and grade, for the purpose of customizing reports and progress in the Virtua program. We do not knowingly share this information with any business partners or third parties other than parties to whose websites we redirect our users by hyperlinks or other means.

We or our business partners also collect student performance information as reasonably necessary for the student to participate in the Virtua program. This includes but is not limited to the problems a student has answered correctly and incorrectly, their login session information and the content they have viewed and accumulated within the program. Individual performance information can be used for Site features personal to the related parent account and their students and/or for internal business metric purposes. This information is not shared with other parents (not associated with the account) and their children, business partners or third parties, to whose websites we redirect our users by hyperlinks or other means.

Virtua may use browser cookies on this Site to keep track of your visit to our Site. A “cookie” is a small amount of data that is sent from a Web server to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Use of cookies may allow Virtua to provide a higher quality, more relevant, customer experience. In many cases when you click an area of a page on the Virtua Site, it will redirect you to another website. This Site includes links to other websites that partly host and manage the Services. You may access, correct, update, and/or delete any personally-identifiable information that you submit to this Site. To do so, please log in and access the My Account area of this Site.
As a User uses the Virtua curriculum, this Site or another website which hosts and manages the relevant learning platform may collect information about the User’s performance. We or our business partner use this information to better improve the User’s experience, as well as in aggregate to improve the Services. We will never disclose this information in a manner in which it can be linked or associated with the User’s identity. Only authorized employees of Virtua, its affiliates and business partners, the student User, and the authorized User that created the student’s account can view both the identity and performance of the student User.
